We are a home based cattery in the bayside suburb of Hampton. We are striving to breed Abyssinians with lovely type and temperaments and hope to breed all 4 main colours tawny, cinnamon, blue and fawn.
We are registered with GCCFV and abide by their code of ethics. Our kittens are sold at 12 weeks old and are vaccinated, desexed, wormed, treated for fleas and come with a lifetime of advice for their owners. We are happy for people to come and visit by appointment but kittens under 6 weeks who are not vaccinated cannot be visited but we are happy to provide photos until they are ready to meet the world.
Abys are very busy and sociable cats and like to be involved with everything that you are doing but you do get used to the supervision. They are normally a breed with a quiet voice but they have other ways to get your attention. If you are looking for a couch potato then these are not the cats for you. Many enjoy water and can be taught to play fetch and walk on a lead. They are an inside only cat as road sense is not one of their strong points and as they are so friendly have been know to go missing from outside their homes.
All of our breeding cats or their descendants have been DNA tested and cleared for both PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) and P.K.Def (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency) which is a form of anaemia.
